Detailed Condition Report & Flaws
1. Leather Condition (Exterior & Interior)
Front & Back Panels: The Box calf leather shows a beautifully aged patina with a glossy finish. As seen in, there are light, superficial surface scratches, faint scuffs, and minor creasing characteristic of vintage Box leather.
Back Pocket: The rear slip pocket remains clean with strong stitching, showing only minor surface wear 

Brand Stamp: The gold-foiled "HERMÈS PARIS MADE IN FRANCE" stamp is beautifully preserved, crisp, and fully legible 

2. Hardware & Closure
"H" Clasp Face: The front gold-plated "H" logo remains bright but exhibits visible hairline scratches, surface scuffs, and small signs of rub wear from regular handling over the decades 

Underside Plating Loss:  As shown,, the underside of the hardware bar (on the back of the flap tab near the closure screws) shows significant gold-plating wear, heavy tarnishing, and dark oxidation spots. There is also a small, dark transfer mark on the leather directly beneath this hardware piece. Note: This is completely hidden from view when the bag is closed and worn.

3. Interior & Zipper
Zipper: The interior pocket features a genuine vintage ÉCLAIR zipper pull. The metal pull and tracks show an authentic antique brass/bronze-toned patina, which confirms its period-correct status, and it remains fully functional.
